Anne V. Mann, LMFT
I am currently not accepting new clients.
I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and a member of the EMDR International Association. My treatment approach includes Cognitive Behavior (CBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR.
I offer in-person counseling as well as video counseling via Doxy, a HIPPA compliant service. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is key in helping people address the life challenges that bring them to counseling. You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or self-esteem issues that interfere with building and enjoying meaningful relationships. I will share your goal of finding your answers to a thriving, high-functioning new beginning.
If your difficulty is relationship issues then I want to help you find your own unique solution. If the issue is anxiety or trauma EMDR may offer an effective evidence-based intervention. If your physician requires counseling prior to gastric-bypass surgery I have a program for that. My priority is to help you find your own best solution.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive environment that results in a higher functioning person with a brighter more hopeful future.
SPECIALITY AREAS
Anxiety, depression, grief & loss, sexual assault survivors, and pre-surgery counseling for gastric bypass.
EXPERIENCE
I have over 25 years of experience, including private practice, working with child protective services, hospital emergency rooms, and private and public mental health hospitals.
EDUCATION
I have a BA in psychology from UCLA, a Master's degree in Counseling from The Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C.), and a year of post-graduate study in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech.
